Over centuries, seafaring had a defining influence on the Baltic Sea town of Wustrow. In more recent history, the region also began attracting artists and creative people of all sorts. Sculptors, painters and writers came from far and wide to live and work in Wustrow. Today’s visitors can explore the attractive seaside resort and discover its famous residents with the help of two informative brochures (Wustrower Kulturpfad, Friedhofsbroschüre – German language only).
Rotating exhibitions in the Haus des Gastes, Fischlandhaus and Barnstorfer Kunstscheune allow contemporary artists to present their work. Several of Wustrow’s restaurants also display the works of local artists.
